Does Jewish law protect animals?

Yes! There are Jewish laws that cover how animals should be treated- from not causing them pain, to feeding them before oneself.

Do I have to be vegan to participate?

Nope! Our goal is to grow our community of Jewish animal activists. If you want to help animals, sign up & join our community.

What kind of events do you host?

We host both in-person & online events. They include community get-togethers, panel discussions, workshops, protests, outreach actions and lots more!

Why was Tikvah for Animals started?

Tikvah For Animals was created to be a safe space for Jewish animal activists that had been facing antisemitism from the greater animal rights community. We also exist to transform Jewish communities while addressing what happens in animal agriculture for kosher products.

Do I have to be Jewish to participate?

Nope! Any allies can join our mailing list, donate, or volunteer their time to help animals with us.
